Vision
The Mechanical Contractors Association of South Carolina (MCASC) will be the leading construction association in South Carolina for specialty contractors and suppliers in the electrical, mechanical (HVAC), and plumbing fields by serving its membership, the industry, and the community in a vibrant and harmonious fashion.
History
The MCASC traces its origin back to 1912 when a group of master plumbers in South Carolina met for the purpose of organizing an association for the advancement of their industry. From this small beginning evolved a well-established statewide organization of electrical, hvac and plumbing contractors and their suppliers. The MCASC is dedicated to the advancement of the mechanical contracting profession and, thereby, the assurance of better service to customers and greater protection of the public health and comfort.
Mission Statement
The Mechanical Contractors Association of South Carolina (MCASC) will provide its membership with:
- current business / technical information and support
- a proactive political / legislative agenda
- a joint industry collaboration to improve relative business practices
- an ongoing effort to offer training opportunities for both professional and craft personnel
- educational scholarships for deserving students
- the development of industry related career opportunities
The Association’s objective for this mission is to enhance the future of the Construction Industry in South Carolina
Purpose
“To Make the Industry What It Needs to Be”
The primary purposes of MCASC is
- To align itself with initiatives that create a better mechanical contracting industry for both members and non-members in South Carolina
- To create a strong network of mechanical contractors who collectively raise the image of mechanical contracting as an industry
- To create an open communication network for members to learn and share effective business practices with one another
- To give mechanical contractors greater visibility and a united voice with governmental and regulatory leaders by positively impacting decisions that affect the industry
- To provide both technical and management training programs which are industry specific
- To give members an easier entrée to pursue other business opportunities in the marketplace
- To continuously be asked to provide input on state and national certifying exams by those outside of the Association
